Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
My client provides airborne geosciences solutions to the oil and gas, mineral and environmental industries globally.
Due to the continued growth in business the company is now seeking an experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAME) Preference will be given to LAME with some or all of the following coverage: CASA License - Categories B1.1, B1.2 and B2 Of particular interest would be applicants with GA experience and TP331 & PT6 engine coverage, applicants with DA42 Centurion engine and composite aircraft experience would also be highly regarded. The position will be based in Perth Western Australia You will be required to maintain a mixed fleet of fixed wing piston and turbine aircraft including CASA 212, Cessna C208, 404, 441 and Diamond DA42 aircraft. Domestic and international travel may be required. You must currently hold the Australian/NZ citizenship or Australian visa with full-time employments rights. To be the successful candidate you need to match the following requirements for this role:
1. Hold a minimum of Class C, unrestricted driver's licence - however it is desirable to hold an appropriate truck driver's licence. Be willing to allow a check on driving history.
2. Sound Computer skills that include:
3. Electrical or mechanical aptitude - ability to diagnose faults and to make minor electrical or mechanical repairs.
4. Good written and verbal communication skills with team members and technical support.
5. Ability to read, understand and comply with approved test methods and policies.
6. Able to recognise what conditions may compromise the quality of data from an automated data collection process.
7. Understand the significance of test procedures and calibration of equipment.
8. Ability to understand and navigate via road maps.
9. Preparedness to live away from home (including interstate) for extended periods whilst performing the work.
10. Be able to work day or night shift basis.
11. Awareness of safety issues when working in and around road traffic.
12. Reliable self starter with the ability to work independently of direct supervision.
13. Able to when required be responsible for the quality and accuracy of the survey data outputs and operation of test vehicle.
